Reminders About Important Upcoming Dates for R.A.C.E. 4-H

Happy Thanksgiving to all our 4-H families!

Here are some important dates we all need to get on those brandy new 2014 calendars!  Well, our first important date is still in 2013.....that's right!  Our 2013 R.A.C.E. 4-H year End Awards Dinner will be on December 6th at 6:30 pm.  We will be recoginizing our High Point and Reserve members in the following categories:  Volunteer, Cloverbud, Junior and Senior.  We will will also have some lovely awards for all of our R.A.C.E. Volunteers, we will be presenting our 2013 club Sportsmanship Award Winners and we will be thnking our Friends of 4-H for all their help during our year.  After all this we will have lots of door prizes to give away!!!!   The dinner is pot luck style and R.A.C.E 4-H will be providing the fried chicke, beverages and dessert.  We are asking everyone to please bring a side dish to share.  Please RSVP to Sara Drake at 704-216-8970.

Now, on to our 2014 Important Dates!!!

January 11th:  Project Record Book Workshop, 4-H Office, 9-12
January 21st:  All Project Record Books Due in 4-H Office

February 8th:  R.A.C.E. 4-H Indoor Tack Sale, 4-H Office, 9 - 2
February 22nd:  4-H Achievement Night, 4-H Office, 6:30 pm

March 15th:  Halter Clinic, Ellis Park, 9 am
March 22nd:  Group Dressage Clinic with Lisa Wagner, Ellis Park, 9 am

April 5th:  Dressage Ride-a-Test with Lisa Wagner, Ellis Park, 9 am
April 26th:  R.A.C.E. Spring Horse Show, Ellis Park, 8 am

May 16-18:  District Horse Show, The ARK

And that is just the first half of the year.  We are trying to plan a jumping clinic and a possible dressage show as well as a reining seminar.  Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and we will see you at the dinner!!!!
